Coming for the Funko Fanatics this November is a new Funko Pop! Rides. This one will be the Funko Pop! Rides Jurassic Park Park Vehicle. Time to explore the island of Isla Nublar and look for some dinosaurs.

The Pop!

This version of a Pop! Rides features the Jeep-style looking vehicle with notable paleontologist Ellie Sattler behind the wheel. This Pop! Ride vehicle comes in tan with a red windshield trim and side view mirrors, red hubcaps and the Jurassic Park logo on the doors.

The details in the vehicle look very nice. The front bumper has a tow-wench with the cable wrapped up and two fog lights. The vehicle is minus the roll cage to offer more “head” room for Ellie but does include two tool boxes in the back seats and a spare tire on the back gate.

In the Movie

The Park Vehicle was featured mostly when the scientists, Dr. Sattler and Dr. Grant, arrive to the island. They are taken from the helicopter pad to the main complex on the island, with that iconic scene when they stop and see their first dinosaurs.

Dennis Nedry is also seen driving one later when he’s attempting to escape the island after stealing some dino embryos. Unfortunately for Nedry, he runs into some difficulties on the way to the boat and gets the vehicle stuck. He then tries to take advantage of the tow-wench on the front of the vehicle to pull it free.

Missed It

As much as I enjoy the look and the detail in this Pop! Rides Jurassic Park Park Vehicle, they may have missed the mark a little on this one. Don’t get me wrong, this is a very cool looking Pop! Rides figure but I would have preferred the Ford Explorer vehicle from the movie.

That vehicle has a more iconic role in the movie then the Jeep in my opinion. The color scheme on them really popped. Pun intended, of course. And the truly other iconic scene from the movie when the flashlight constricts the¬†Tyrannosaurus rex’s eye and then it tries to destroy the vehicle eventually sending it over the wall and into a tree with the kids still inside.¬†

What do you think? Do you think they picked the right vehicle from the movie to make into a Pop! Rides?

More Jurassic Park

This is the newest Funko Pop! for Jurassic Park to add to your Jurassic Park collection. Some of the other Pop! figures that are in the Jurassic Park series include, #545 Dr. Alan Grant, #546 John Hammond and #550 Attack Dilophosaurus a Target exclusive.

With the recent success of the Jurassic World movies, it is good to see Pop! figures still coming out for the movie that started the franchise twenty-five years ago. Jurassic Park was one of my favorite movies for a long time. I believe that I ended up seeing it in the theater nine times the Summer is came out in 1993. That is the most I’ve even seen one movie in the theater before. I think three times may be next one, but now I can’t recall what that movie was. Age may be catching up with me now.
